What You ll DoThis is a Manager role for our Tax Sourcing Team As a manager you will be leading a talented group of sourcing professionals dedicated to navigating the complexities of International indirect tax compliance We are looking for a dynamic energetic team-oriented individual who has demonstrated adaptability to change through periods of rapid growth In this role the candidate should not only be able to be a people leader demonstrate exceptional people skills but also have the experience to oversee the global sourcing automation team Your team will play a crucial role in sourcing and curating relevant tax links to capture global updates for indirect tax matters Their primary responsibility will be to gather analyze and disseminate timely information on indirect tax regulations laws rulings and updates from various jurisdictions worldwide This is your opportunity to join a highly productive indirect tax sourcing team at a fast-growing Software as a Service SaaS company doing what you may be very passionate about With us you should be ready to deep dive into stimulating indirect tax sourcing projects to make a significant impact Job DutiesGiven the dynamic nature of indirect tax laws a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on developments is necessary to remain effective in this role Lead International Indirect Tax Sourcing Initiatives Lead and oversee tax sourcing projects including the analysis of new laws regulations and court rulings to assess their impact on our tools Provide Strategic Guidance Offer strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management on leveraging automation research process efficiency and agile methodoligies Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams Collaborate with product deployment teams engineers to ensure alignment Stay Updated on Indirect tax Stay abreast of changes in tax laws regulations and industry trends Lead automation projects from inception to completion including project planning stakeholder management resource allocation and risk mitigation Identify opportunities to automate streamline and reduce redundancy in current processes Leverage Technology Understand Avalara technology automate manual research processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy of our content Manage Team Performance Coach mentor and develop tax research team members to foster their professional growth ensuring high performance and engagement Managing year end performance reviews Flexibility Must be flexible to occassionally overlap work schedule with US UK timing as in when needed for collaborative meetings or training Maintain team engagement work allocation balance What You ll Need to be SuccessfulRequired Qualifications Requirements Bachelor s degree in accounting finance business administration or a related field is a must Relevant advanced degree or certification i e Accounting Finance Law Economics Leadership experience with a track record of successfully managing end to end compliance returns teams and driving results 8 years of experience in research tax analysis RPA in tax technology Experience in indirect tax legal research- logical and creative approach to drilling down to specific data that is vital to the accuracy of the published content Understanding and basic knowledge on ERP systems and their database structures SAP ORACLE other ERPs Effective communication skills verbal and written ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management Analytical skills -
