Job Description

Knowledge Artisans is building a strong talent pipeline of Database Administrators (SQL Server & PostgreSQL) to support multiple clients across ISV, SaaS, and enterprise product domains.

Responsibilities:

- Install, configure, and manage SQL Server & PostgreSQL environments across Development, Staging, Production, and DR.
- Tune performance, optimize queries, manage indexing and server configuration.
- Implement robust backup & recovery, HA & DR strategies.
- Manage multi-tenant DBs in SaaS environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Support ISV product teams through database design, optimization, and scaling.
- Implement and manage database security, encryption, and access controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure).
- Document and standardize database operations for cloud and on-premises deployments.

Requirements:

- 5-7+ years of hands-on DBA experience in SQL Server & PostgreSQL production environments.
- Proven experience in performance tuning, security, HA & DR, scripting.
- Strong understanding of relational database design, indexing, transactions, and concurrency.
- Cloud database experience (AWS RDS, Azure DB for PostgreSQL/SQL, GCP) preferred.
- Scripting skills in SQL, PowerShell, Bash, Python.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (MS, AWS, PostgreSQL) are a plus.
