Inviting applications for the role of Manager, Senior Risk and Controls Analyst
A Senior Risk and Control Analyst is responsible for identifying, assessing and monitoring risks, as well as ensuring that effective controls are in place to mitigate those risks across business processes. The Senior Risk Analyst will work closely with various departments to ensure that risks are properly assessed and managed in line with the organization%27s objectives and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
.Risk Identification & Assessment

oAnalyse businesses processes to identify operational, financial, compliance and strategic risks.

oDraft process maps and process narratives across business functions.

oEvaluate the design and operating effectiveness of existing internal controls and recommend improvements where necessary with a strong focus on non-financial risk (NFR).

.Control Design and Evaluation:
oReview and design internal controls for effectiveness and efficiency.
oAssess the adequacy of existing controls and recommend improvements.
oIdentify control gaps and recommend new controls.
oWork closely with cross-functional teams to integrate controls into business processes.

. Monitoring and Testing:
oLead or support the testing of internal controls to ensure they are functioning as intended and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
oDevelop and execute control testing plans, including scoping, testing, and reporting on findings.
oIdentify control deficiencies and track remediation plans.
oReport control effectiveness metrics to management.

.Stakeholder Collaboration:

oProvide risk and control advisory to process and control owners.

oProvide training and mentorship to junior risk analysts and other team members. Share expertise and knowledge to build the team's overall risk management capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications
.Relevant years of experience in controls and compliance, including control design and risk assessments within banking, financial services and insurance industry.

.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
.In-depth knowledge of risk and controls management frameworks, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
.Proficiency in risk and controls management software and tools.
.Proficiency in using process mapping tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio, Signavio, ARIS).
.Excellent communication (written and vocal) and stakeholder management skills.
.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
.Bachelor's degree in risk management, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
.Professional certifications such as Certified Risk Analyst (CRA), Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), or equivalent will be highly regarded.
.Working knowledge of risk taxonomy, control libraries, and NFR reporting metrics is a strong advantage.
