At Meta, Anaplan is a key tool used by Sales Strategic Planning Operations for customer segmentation, book building, goaling, and territory management, as well as by Global Operations to automate and streamline billing processes.As an Anaplan Engineer, you will design, build, and optimize models that support financial forecasting, budgeting, invoice generation and reconciliation, month-end close reporting, and short-term forecasting. Application Engineer, Anaplan Responsibilities: - Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop product strategy, roadmaps, impact metrics, gather requirements and provide solutions, support and maintain Anaplan Application that achieves desired business outcomes - Architect and build robust, scalable Anaplan models to support sales forecasting, quota and territory planning, incentive compensation calculations, and marketing performance management at global scale and ensure Anaplan models align with business needs and Meta's data architecture - Develop and maintain integrations between Anaplan and internal data sources (CRM systems, data warehouses, etc.), ensuring a seamless flow of accurate data for end-to-end sales planning automation and a single source of truth for decision-making - Implement Anaplan modeling standards and best practices to optimize model performance and maintain data integrity. Continuously tune and refactor models for efficiency and scale - Ensure application stability, security, and compliance with company policies and industry standards - Translate business processes and requirements into technical requirements & design documentation - Provide technical/application support and troubleshooting for Anaplan applications, working closely with end-users and stakeholders to resolve issues - Communicate application updates, changes, and benefits to business stakeholders - Provide training and support to end-users - Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources - Ensure timely project delivery to achieve desired outcomes - Stay up-to-date with Anaplan product releases, features, and best practices Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience - 5+ years of hands-on experience developing, implementing, and scaling Anaplan models in a production environment - Experience integrating Anaplan with other systems and data sources (using APIs, ETL processes, or Anaplan Connect), ensuring reliable data exchange and synchronization - Proficiency in data integration and scripting tools (e.g. Python, ETL platforms) and familiarity with databases/SQL to manipulate and analyze data used in Anaplan - Self-starter with capacity to work independently while managing multiple projects and tasks in a fast paced environment - Demonstrated ability to lead projects and collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders and technical teams, driving end-to-end execution from requirements gathering to deployment - Problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of delivering data-driven solutions that drive business impact - Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making Preferred Qualifications: - Anaplan Certified Model Builder or Solution Architect certification - Working knowledge of financial or sales planning - Implementation of Anaplan in 2+ companies - Experience with Agile development methodologies About Meta: Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
