Job Summary The Gynecologist provides comprehensive care for women s reproductive health including diagnosis treatment and management of conditions related to the female reproductive system This role involves conducting exams performing procedures and working closely with patients to address their gynecological and obstetric needs The gynecologist will offer compassionate care maintain patient confidentiality and stay updated with the latest medical advancements in gynecology Key Responsibilities Patient Care Conduct thorough gynecological examinations and assessments Diagnose and treat various conditions related to the female reproductive system including menstrual disorders infertility and sexually transmitted infections Provide prenatal intrapartum and postpartum care for expectant mothers Offer guidance on contraception family planning and preventive health care Procedures and Treatments Perform routine and specialized gynecological procedures such as pap smears colposcopies biopsies and hysteroscopies Manage and oversee surgical procedures as necessary including laparoscopies and hysterectomies Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients Patient Education and Counseling Educate patients on reproductive health disease prevention and treatment options Offer counseling and emotional support to patients dealing with gynecological conditions or pregnancy-related issues Collaboration and Communication Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals including obstetricians oncologists and primary care physicians to coordinate patient care Maintain clear and effective communication with patients regarding their health status treatment plans and follow-up care Administrative Duties Maintain accurate and detailed patient records including medical histories treatment plans and progress notes Manage patient scheduling and ensure timely follow-ups Adhere to medical standards protocols and regulatory requirements Professional Development Stay current with advancements in gynecology and obstetrics through continuing education and professional development Participate in medical conferences workshops and training as required Qualifications Education Doctor of Medicine MD or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine DO degree Completion of residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology preferred Experience Previous experience in a clinical setting as a gynecologist including experience in managing complex cases Experience in performing gynecological and obstetric procedures Skills Strong diagnostic and clinical skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care Certifications Current state medical license Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology Current certification in CPR BLS Basic Life Support Physical Requirements Ability to perform examinations and procedures that may require physical effort Capacity to work long hours including on-call shifts if required Work Environment Work is typically performed in a clinical or hospital setting May involve exposure to biological hazards and need for adherence to infection control procedures Job Types Full-time Permanent Fresher Internship Contractual Temporary Pay 100 000 00 - 200 000 00 per month Language malayalam Required Work Location In person
