Role Introduction

We are looking for a Senior Platform Ops Engineer with deep technical expertise and strong leadership skills to independently drive automation, efficiency, and governance within our DevOps and Toolchain squad. This pivotal role supports SREs and development teams in building scalable, secure, and optimised CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate excels in toolchain standardisation, infrastructure improvements, and reducing manual operations, while also mentoring teams and promoting DevOps best practices across the engineering organisation.

What You Will Do

- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Automation & CI/CD: Develop and manage automation pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging to ensure the reliability and performance of systems. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Manage containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes or other similar tools.
- Security & Compliance: Work closely with the security team to implement security best practices across infrastructure and application layers, including vulnerability assessments, IAM policies, and encryption.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure that applications and services are optimized, scalable, and aligned with the company's goals.
- Documentation & Best Practices: Create and maintain clear documentation of infrastructure, automation processes, and internal tools. Advocate and ensure the use of best practices for code and infrastructure deployment.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers, helping them grow their skills and experience.
- Innovation: Keep up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies and apply them to enhance the current DevOps practices and infrastructure.

What You Will Have

- Must Have Skill

- 6-10 years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or SRE roles.
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI) and version control (e.g., Git).
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).
- Expertise in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK Stack.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
