Rhel Linux System Admin Lead

Automating the administration end-to-end life-cycle management of RHEL servers by including provisioning installation software packaging patching planned unplanned maintenance service configuration and integration with our monitoring platform Development continuous enhancement of tools utilities reports frameworks to assist production support operational processes re-engineering efforts etc Work closely with Cloud Engineering to enable development of end to end automated platforms Develop new automations in Ansible or new Lambdas self-healing INC-minimization Contribute towards API gateway-related deliverables proactively move towards server-less infra Contribute towards developing a holistic Front-end for our Core Infrastructure services which would initially meant for operational visibility for our team but would simultaneously provide few frequently-needed info by App-teams Move towards AI ML driven data-visualization self-healing using Python Perform people leadership role and manage availability rostering infleunce team to drive critical items to closure Remain in sync with the business goals and my leadership s expectations and try to fulfill them by bringing my best foot forward Build Collaborative Relationships Optimizes Diverse Talent and Influence People Key Responsibilities Perform moderately difficult and independent assignments in the troubleshooting problem diagnosis problem resolution and ongoing production support for one or more technologies Pro-actively monitor the stability and performance of various technologies within area of expertise and drive appropriate corrective action prior to an incident or problem occurring Actively collaborate with fellow members of the team and contractors vendors on bridge calls to prevent or resolve incidents problems in an expeditious manner Recommend deploy and document strategies and solutions for problems incidents based upon comprehensive and thoughtful analysis of business goals objectives requirements and existing technologies Independently identify key issues patterns and deviations during the analysis Participate and provide input in the continual refinement of processes policies and best practices to ensure the highest possible performance and availability of technologies Create maintain and update documentation including troubleshooting guides procedure support manuals and communication plans Continuously develop specialized knowledge and technical subject matter expertise by remaining apprised of Industry trends the direction of emerging technologies and their potential value to the business Contribute towards development of operational reporting including daily health check reports capacity performance reports and incident problem reports Data Collection Tracking Analysis Use a variety of data collection techniques and systems to collect technology operations performance data Analyze to draw accurate conclusions regarding performance trends and issues current and or potential Develop tools utilities to enhance compliance- adherence with defined SLA OLAs Monitor consumption usage metrics to understand trends to assist in the effective management of vendor partners as applicable Perform trend analysis to identify cause of performance and or usage issues Continuous Improvement Work with application teams to determine the impact of application changes to the monitors configured for an application and determine if any changes or additions are required Assist teams in identifying monitoring requirements and implementing the appropriate monitors to achieve the desired results Use experience expertise and data analysis to collaborate with manager and team members in the identification of corrective action to increase efficiency improve performance and meet or exceed targets Required Qualifications Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent academic qualification 7-10 years of System Administration experience in supporting engineering developing optimizing automation solutions on RHEL based On-Premise or Post-Premise currently working as L2 L3 team-member in a Service Delivery model Candidate should have exposure to Basic ITIL concepts viz Incident Change Problem Request management Mandatory 6 years of expertise with RHEL Linux System Administration Mandatory 2 years of Hands-on experience or knowledge on AWS EC2 S3 EBS VPC Cloudtrail Systems manager CloudFormation or Lambda Mandatory 3 years of Hands-on experience in managing Ansible Tower or Ansible CLI and experience to work with Modules as a Configuration Management Tool Preferred Should be familiar about Agile Scrum methodologies and must have worked in a Sprint driven Support Group Preferred 2 years of experience of managing at-least 4 member team Preferred Hands-on experience or knowledge in writing SHELL Bash or Python scripts Preferred Hands-on Experience in writing Terraform modules for various AWS and Azure Services crafting ideal IAM policies and experience with policy as a code tools like checkov Preferred Exposure to ServiceNow and JIRA would be desirable Preferred Experience with GIT Bitbucket for version control Proficient in handling System Security vulnerabilities and OS configuration deviations that improves the overall security posture Exposure to Server QA validation Server-Build Design Delivery Asset Management Server Decommission Skillset and experience in handling operational issues in supporting native AWS Azure services Proficient with Platform Infrastructure OS Patching Releases Upgrades Migration Refresh etc Experience in handling NFS CIFS related issues on Production or Non-Production environment Windows Active Directory or LDAP knowledge is highly desirable Detail oriented self-starter capable of working independently Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document design present proposals Strong attention to detail and with ability to focus on quality and efficiency Ability to communicate and articulate technical information across various organizational levels Highly innovative problem solver with strong analytical and customer service understanding of monitoring tools and monitoring techniques with focus on problem determination and prevention Preferred Qualifications Professional experience in administration configuration support of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 x 7 x 8 x Exposure to Microsoft PowerBI Tableau or any data-manipulation tools is highly desirable Expert in writing software packaging and deploying into a fully automated environment Hands-on Basic experience in managing AIX and AMZ Linux systems Should have fundamental exposure to IT environments governed by ITIL framework Change Incident RCA Problem Management-related activities Experienced with intermediate MS Excel skills vlookup pivoting formulas macros data comparison Candidate must have the following Certifications 1 RHCSA or RHCE RHEL7 8 2 AWS Solutions Architect or AWS SysOps Administrator 3 ITIL Foundation desirable Expert in writing Python Scripts Ansible Playbooks and deploying into a fully automated environment Exposure to Server QA Server-Build Design Delivery Asset Management Solid understanding of monitoring tools and monitoring techniques with focus on problem determination and prevention Candidate should have decent understanding of storage layout SAN NAS and configuration best practices from a server client perspective This role will have rotational shifts primarily the Morning 6 30 AM and Evening 4 45 PM shift
