and Sector teams on all wholesale CMD and GB lending related activities to generate optimal returns and to manage and minimise risk Credit Lending drives Banking to support portfolio management activities through proactive management of balance sheet utilisation and concentration risk The role has been published as part of Monitoring and Balance Sheet Velocity sub-value stream within CLS and this IT team provides the required IT platform for Relationship managers and Risk Approvers to monitor the wholesale credit portfolio The team supports all lending journeys for both Commercial Banking and Global Banking customers As a Technology Product Manager you would be expected to drive the Problem Exposure Monitoring delivery teams on the delivery excellence service excellence engineering excellence journey championing the adoption of practices and set high standards This role will be to be the Senior technologist and deliver on CLS business priorities This role will also include a focus on cost savings and control standardization of process and systems and supporting a business model that delivers a single joined up global IT solution to our customers employees and stakeholders This person s primary accountabilities are to the Head of Monitoring and Balance Sheet Velocity SVS We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr Associate Director Tech SME In this role you will Act as a SME on the design and implementation of technology solutions to meet the needs of the CLS technology function on a tactical and strategic basis covering number of significant Regulatory and business transformation initiatives in the bank Take accountability to work closely and build a trusted relationship with the business to ensure delivery of the benefits outlined in the business case via a global roll out while leveraging all of the functions of the system Provide consultancy advice as a trusted partner to the both global and regional stakeholders within the business and other IT teams on how best to use the features and functions of the product in a consistent and efficient mannerIntroduce new practices processes techniques products services technologies and standards where needed against identified use cases via the appropriate governance bodies Act as a trusted advisor to the Head of Monitoring and BSV SVS Technology lead in creating a trust-based management culture with a high level of effective communication globally Accountable for ensuring compliance of the products and services with mandatory and regulatory requirements control objectives in the risk and control framework in line with published standards and guidelines and with the architecture function implementation of the business imperatives The role holder must work with the wider CLS and CIB IT communities of practice to maximize automation increase efficiency and ensure that best practice and the latest tools techniques and processes have been adopted Provide consultancy advice as a trusted partner to both global and regional stakeholders within the business and other IT teams on how best to use the features and functions of the product in a consistent and efficient manner Develop the overall product strategy providing the vision and roadmap for the product suite to help drive straight-through processing and reduce operational costs Collaborate with technical leaders and product owners to contribute to product and project strategy code standards roadmap definition and requirements gathering Advocate and advance modern software development practices within the mobile engineering community Helping with designing maintaining and improving all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle Requirements To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements Experience of handling projects involving heritage technologies and their transformation into the new tech stack Experience of making complex design decisions with authority even in times of ambiguity balancing advancing strategy immediate business needs and potential long-term risks and implications Successful track record of managing large portfolio projects within the Banking domain involving OnPrem Cloud and SaaS ecosystems Hands-on IT development and design experience on Full stack Java development with Bootstrap and CSS Good knowledge on building and designing Rest API API Gateway API Standards Micro-services Web services and Integration styles Knowledge and or work experience in MS PowerPlatform and Oracle suite of banking products will be an added advantage Knowledge of tools like Splunk AppDynamics JIRA Confluence Understanding of the Wholesale Lending and Credit Risk domains will be an added advantage Sound knowledge of Product Life Cycle Management concepts Excellent understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies and best practice techniques A thorough understanding of the purpose culture and fundamentals of the Transformation Good understanding of HSBC Group structures processes and objectives Excellent understanding and operational knowledge of Transformation toolset specifically Clarity and GPDM Evidence of confidently operating at an Executive level Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors Proven ability to facilitate effective portfolio management with a strong understanding of risk and issue management financial management programme and portfolio planning tracking and monitoring performance Strong Understanding analysing interpreting and working with information both financial or non-financial and variance reporting Experience in influencing a complex and diverse stakeholder environment Proven project management skills including planning prioritisation delegation and delivery of outstanding results Excellent communication skills and cultural awareness The individual should be self-motivated customer focussed with an ability to solve complex problems with an eye for detail and accuracy Exposure to different integration paradigms e g REST Event Driven Architecture and messaging Knowledge on Automation Testing BDD frameworks and
