Job Description We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer with 8+ years of total IT experience and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience focusing on Power BI, SQL, and DAX. The ideal candidate will possess expert knowledge in these areas and be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robust and insightful business intelligence solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data models and visualizations. Key Responsibilities - Power BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets to meet business intelligence requirements. - Data Modeling: Create and optimize complex data models within Power BI, ensuring efficiency and scalability. - DAX Expertise: Write advanced DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) queries and measures to create complex calculations, aggregations, and business logic within Power BI. - SQL Development: Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from various data sources. - Data Integration: Work with diverse data sources to ensure seamless data integration into Power BI. - Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance, ensuring quick loading times and responsiveness. - Collaboration: Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective BI solutions. - Data Quality & Governance: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to data governance standards. - Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for Power BI solutions, including data models, DAX calculations, and report specifications. Required Skills and Experience - 8+ years of total IT experience. - 5+ years of relevant experience with a strong focus on Power BI, SQL, and DAX. - Expertise in Power BI, including report development, dashboard creation, and dataset management. - Expertise in SQL, with strong abilities in writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and understanding database structures. - Expertise in DAX, with a proven track record of creating intricate measures, calculated columns, and tables for advanced analytical needs. - Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. - Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Good to Have Skills - Advanced proficiency in DAX for complex business logic. - Advanced SQL scripting and optimization skills. - Experience with Power Automate for automating data workflows and integrations. - Familiarity with other components of the Microsoft Power Platform. - Experience with Azure data services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics).
