Job Description Job Title: Mechatronics Engineer Location: Pune Department: Engineering Job Type: Full-time Job Summary As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will design, develop, and test automation systems, robotics, and electromechanical devices that combine mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering. You will work on improving manufacturing processes and creating innovative solutions for optimizing industrial systems. The role involves multidisciplinary collaboration to integrate software and hardware components seamlessly. Key Responsibilities - Design and Development: - Develop, test, and implement mechatronic systems such as robotics, automated machines, and other mechanical-electrical systems. - Work on control systems and Make solutions that combine mechanics, electronics, and computer technology. - Conduct simulations, prototypes, and performance tests to ensure system efficiency. - System Integration: - Integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components in various systems and optimize them for performance and reliability. - Collaborate with software engineers to develop embedded systems and controllers for machines. - Process Improvement: - Analyse existing mechanical and automated systems to identify areas for improvement. - Suggest and implement upgrades to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance system durability. - Research and Innovation: - Stay up-to-date with advancements in mechatronics and robotics technologies. - Experiment with emerging tools and techniques to Make innovative solutions in automation and manufacturing. - Project Management: - Work on project timelines, ensuring that development phases are completed on time and within budget. - Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams working on multidisciplinary engineering projects. - Collaboration and Communication: - Collaborate with teams across mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing engineering. - Prepare and present reports on project status, design results, and research findings. - Troubleshooting and Maintenance: - Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot issues related to mechatronic systems. - Develop maintenance schedules for the optimal performance of systems. Skills And Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - Experience: - 3-5 years of experience in mechatronics, robotics, or industrial automation. - Experience with CAD, MATLAB, SolidWorks, or similar software. - Knowledge of control systems, sensors, actuators, and microcontrollers. - Technical Skills: - Proficiency in mechatronic system design and development. - Experience in programming languages (C/C++, Python, etc.) and embedded systems. - Understanding of mechanical design, pneumatics, and hydraulics. - Knowledge of industrial automation tools (PLCs, SCADA, etc.). - Soft Skills: - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. - Ability to work on multidisciplinary teams and manage projects. - Time management skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in the robotics or automotive industry. - Certification in Lean or Six Sigma. - Hands-on experience with automation systems and industrial robots. - Knowledge of AI and machine learning applications in robotics.
