Job Description Job Title: Oracle RDBMS Specialist Location: Bangalore / Kolkata / Pune Experience : 5 - 7 Years Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Oracle DBA / RDBMS Specialist with extensive experience in Oracle Database administration, upgrades, and performance tuning. The candidate will support databases from 11g to 19c, handle day-to-day operations, and collaborate with application teams to optimize performance. Knowledge of SQL Server is a plus. Key Responsibilities - Perform Oracle Database upgrades to 19c and resolve post-upgrade performance issues related to the new optimizer. - Support day-to-day database administration tasks: RMAN cloning, patching, tablespace maintenance, and user management. - Monitor and tune database performance, working closely with application teams to optimize queries and code. - Manage backup and recovery procedures using RMAN. - Handle database tickets and incidents using ServiceNow. - Work with SQL Developer, Putty, and related database tools for administration and troubleshooting. - Participate in database deployment, migration, and patching activities. Required Skills And Qualifications - Extensive experience with Oracle Database 11g to 19c, including upgrades and post-upgrade performance tuning. - Strong performance tuning expertise at the database level. - Hands-on experience with RMAN, tablespaces, user management, and patching. - Familiarity with ticketing tools (ServiceNow) and database client tools (SQL Developer, Putty). - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and in collaboration with application and infrastructure teams. Preferred Skills / Good To Have - Knowledge of SQL Server administration. - Experience in industrial domain database operations.
