Key duties include consultations, managing conditions like epilepsy and stroke, performing procedures like lumbar punctures, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals. Key responsibilities - Patient consultations:Conduct outpatient consultations and manage inpatients, including ICU patients with neurological conditions. - Diagnosis and treatment:Diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological disorders such as epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, and Parkinson's disease. - Testing and interpretation:Order diagnostic tests, interpret results (including lab work and scans), and use this information to determine treatment options. - Patient counseling:Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and symptom management. - Medical procedures:Perform certain procedures, such as lumbar punctures or nerve conduction studies, when required. - Coordination of care:Collaborate with other medical departments and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. - Emergency response:Respond to medical emergencies related to neurology. - Documentation:Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation for all patients.
