Agile Product Owner Associate Advisor Position Overview As a member of the D AE Technology Product Management Team The HEDIS Technical Product Owner is responsible for managing and championing API product delivery and management of Cigna s HEDIS reporting solutions based on FHIR The product owner will work closely with Product Managers business units to harness a combination of product management API s big data data science and analysis skills to closely collaborate across engineering and respective business functions to define feature sets aid in the design of solutions and build deploy and drive adoption of the interoperability capabilities Important Skillsets Experience - Experience in the regulatory space - Experience in healthcare operations such as call center claims billing underwriting etc - Experience in the design of business processes The preferred candidate will need to have the ability to walk into a very messy manual HEDIS operation that has been built up over many years extract the actual business processes without the bandaids and workarounds recommend streamlined business processes and help the business unit transition to new automated business workflows Some of the workflow will be governed by the rules we have to follow from NCQA This is the regulatory piece that the candidate will need to be able to work in Roles Responsibilities Act as one of the technical product owners of Evernorth s Interoperability Ecosystem to deliver API products for internal and external business partners and customers Author documents relating to product life cycle including feature roadmap business requirements and functional specifications Write prioritize sequence and accept features user stories and defects Drive API product development across partners vendor and teams primarily Engineering Operations Product Management Business Development Legal and Marketing through business requirements design implementation and deployment Exhibit excellent judgment on how to prioritize between focusing features architectural improvements and operational excellence Lead the development of reporting insights and operational metrics that measure customer experience quality and turn this data into insightful recommendations for the business Work collaboratively with Engineering as an advocate for the needs of our customers Develop deep knowledge of the healthcare community Dive deep into customer and system data to perform analysis Define track and analyze key API usage adoption and performance metrics to provide strategic recommendations Provide subject matter expertise to help understand positioning and key value propositions through internal communication channels blogs presentations case studies Monitor project execution and ensuring that the project delivery is to the appropriate levels of quality and in line with target dates Qualifications Must Haves Bachelor s degree in a technical field preferred computer science or engineering degrees 8 to 11 years of experience in an Agile Technology organization Experience driving agile and or lean product development with demonstrated record of delivering solutions to internal stakeholders and or external market segments Direct relevant work experience developing API and or data solutions preferably experience with HL7 FHIR standards preferred but not required Experience and knowledge of the big data landscape e g Hadoop Spark Cloud-based storage compute network infrastructure as well as data processing solutions on AWS Azure or GCP Understanding of analytics and data science processes including model development lifecycle model performance management and governance and software development lifecycle Excellent conceptual and analytical thinking and communication skills through whiteboarding presentations and written content creation Nice to Haves Finance or Healthcare data and analytics industry experience provider payer medical pharmaceutical or health services Demonstrated record of building data capabilities vs turn-key products and communicating their value through solution selling or business value consulting About Evernorth Health Services Evernorth Health Services a division of The Cigna Group creates pharmacy care and benefit solutions to improve health and increase vitality We relentlessly innovate to make the prediction prevention and treatment of illness and disease more accessible to millions of people Join us in driving growth and improving lives
