Job Description

As a Data Scientist Intern at Datahut, you will be at the intersection of data and marketing. Your primary responsibilities will involve scraping data from various sources, cleaning and organizing this data, and then visualizing it in a manner that is both insightful and actionable. You will work closely with our data science and marketing team to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement web scrapers to gather information from specified sources using Python and libraries such as BeautifulSoup (BS4).
- Clean and preprocess raw data to ensure its quality and readiness for analysis.
- Analyze cleaned data to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- Create compelling visualizations of the data using Python libraries such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with team members to support data analysis and project objectives.
- Document all processes and methodologies used in data scraping, cleaning, and visualization.

Qualifications

- Currently pursuing or completed courses in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proficient in Python, with hands-on experience using libraries like BeautifulSoup, Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib/Seaborn for data scraping, processing, and visualization.
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS) and an understanding of the structure of web pages.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and creativity in finding solutions to data-related issues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present data insights to non-technical team members.
