AnOracle Cloud Technical Consultantis a professional who specializes in implementing, configuring, and optimizing Oracle's cloud solutions for businesses. These consultants play a vital role in helping organizations leverage Oracle's suite of cloud services (such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Cloud Applications, and Oracle Cloud Platform) to meet their specific business needs. Their tasks typically revolve around ensuring smooth cloud migration, integration, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oracle Cloud Implementation:

- Work on setting up Oracle Cloud services like Oracle ERP, Oracle HCM, Oracle SCM, and Oracle CRM, depending on the business's needs.
- Manage the migration of legacy applications to Oracle Cloud environments.

1. Customization and Configuration:

- Customize Oracle Cloud applications to meet client-specific requirements.
- Implement cloud architecture and infrastructure, optimizing it for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

1. Integration:

- Integrate Oracle Cloud services with other third-party systems, ensuring seamless data flow across platforms.
- Utilize Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for connecting Oracle and non-Oracle applications.

1. Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues related to Oracle Cloud services.
- Monitor system performance and suggest improvements.

1. Optimization & Performance Tuning:

- Regularly monitor cloud infrastructure and application performance to identify areas for optimization.
- Implement best practices for security, availability, and disaster recovery.

1. Training and Knowledge Transfer:

- Train end-users and internal teams on Oracle Cloud applications and tools.
- Transfer knowledge of best practices to ensure efficient use of the platform in the long term.

1. Collaboration and Reporting:

- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Provide regular status reports, documentation, and updates on cloud-related projects.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Technical Expertise:

- Deep knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle ERP, Oracle HCM, Oracle Integration Cloud, and other Oracle Cloud services.
- Experience with cloud technologies, virtualization, networking, and security.

1. Cloud Architecture:

- Ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing Oracle cloud solutions.

1. Programming and Scripting:

- Familiarity with languages such as SQL, Java, Python, or Oracle PL/SQL for customizing Oracle applications.

1. Project Management:

- Experience managing or working in Agile or Waterfall project environments.

1. Problem-Solving:

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues.

1. Certification:

- Oracle Cloud certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect, Oracle ERP Cloud Implementation Specialist) are often required or preferred.

1. Design & Build Integrations using OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud):

- The candidate must have experience designing and implementing integrations between various systems and applications using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). OIC is a cloud-based middleware solution for connecting applications, data, and processes.

1. Must have experience in PaaS (Apex) Development:

- The candidate should be familiar with Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments, specifically Oracle Application Express (Apex). Oracle APEX is a low-code platform that allows users to build web-based applications rapidly. Experience in developing using APEX in a cloud environment is key.

1. BIP (BI Publisher), OTBI Reports Development:

- The individual should have experience developing reports usingBI Publisher (BIP)andOTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence). Both are Oracle tools used to create and manage reports based on transactional data. BIP allows creating highly formatted reports, while OTBI is used for ad-hoc analysis and reporting.
