FinOps SME In this role you will be responsible for driving the financial optimization of our cloud infrastructure and services This role requires a deep understanding of cloud cost management financial analysis and the ability to implement best practices for cost efficiency and optimization Responsibilities Oversee the management and optimization of cloud costs across multiple platforms AWS Azure GCP Implement cloud cost management strategies and best practices to ensure efficient use of resources Monitor and analyze cloud spending to identify cost-saving opportunities Conduct detailed financial analysis of cloud usage and costs Develop and maintain regular financial reports and dashboards for stakeholders Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to optimize cloud spending Identify opportunities for cost optimization and implement strategies to achieve savings Work with engineering and operations teams to implement cost-saving measures Leverage tools and automation to improve cost efficiency and transparency Develop and manage cloud budgets and forecasts in collaboration with finance and IT teams Track and report on budget variances and provide actionable insights Ensure alignment of cloud spending with business objectives and financial goals Implement and maintain cloud financial governance policies and procedures Ensure compliance with internal policies standards and regulatory requirements Develop and enforce tagging and resource allocation policies for accurate cost tracking Collaborate with finance engineering and operations teams to align on cloud financial management practices Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on FinOps best practices and cost management Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud financial management and optimization Evaluate implement and manage cloud cost management tools and platforms Ensure tools are effectively integrated with existing systems and processes Continuously improve the use and functionality of cost management tools Define and track key performance indicators KPIs related to cloud financial management Monitor performance metrics to ensure cost efficiency and optimization goals are met Provide regular updates to leadership on performance metrics and optimization efforts Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in cloud financial management Continuously evaluate and improve cloud cost management processes and practices Participate in training and certification programs to enhance FinOps expertise Qualifications we seek in you Minimum Qualifications Skills Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Information Technology or a related field Masters degree preferred Experience in financial management cloud cost optimization or a related field with a cloud financial management role Strong understanding of cloud platforms AWS Azure Google Cloud and their pricing models Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools e g Excel Power BI Experience with cloud cost management and optimization tools Knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting processes Preferred Qualifications Skills FinOps certifications such as Certified FinOps Practitioner or similar Experience with automation and scripting e g Python PowerShell Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices Experience with financial modeling and cost-benefit analysis Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Genpact is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers applicants for all positions without regard to race color religion or belief sex age national origin citizenship status marital status military veteran status genetic information sexual orientation gender identity physical or mental disability or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws Genpact is committed to creating a dynamic work environment that values diversity and inclusion respect and integrity customer focus and innovation Get to know us at genpact com and on LinkedIn X YouTube and Facebook Furthermore please do note that Genpact does not charge fees to process job applications and applicants are not required to pay to participate in our hiring process in any other way Examples of such scams include purchasing a starter kit paying to apply or purchasing equipment or training
