About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Surveillance Engineering Lead to design build and manage next-generation trade surveillance systems This individual will lead a team of engineers to develop scalable high-performance solutions to detect and monitor market abuse insider trading and regulatory breaches across asset classes The ideal candidate will combine deep knowledge of trade surveillance platforms with strong engineering leadership to deliver innovative compliant and efficient solutions Qualifications Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field 10 years experience in software engineering with at least 3 years in a leadership role Strong background in capital markets trade surveillance and regulatory compliance Hands-on expertise with large-scale distributed systems and data pipelines Experience with surveillance tools Actimize SMARTS Scila etc is a plus Excellent communication stakeholder management and problem-solving skills Key Responsibilities Lead the design development and maintenance of trade surveillance systems and workflows Collaborate with compliance risk and business stakeholders to understand surveillance requirements and translate them into technical solutions Architect scalable data ingestion transformation and alerting systems for large volumes of trade data across multiple markets and asset classes Drive implementation of advanced analytics anomaly detection and machine learning models to improve surveillance effectiveness Ensure systems comply with global regulatory requirements e g MAR MiFID II Dodd-Frank Manage and mentor a team of engineers fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement Oversee vendor integrations e g NICE Actimize Nasdaq SMARTS or other surveillance tools and internal build solutions Implement robust monitoring testing and incident management processes Partner with information security and infrastructure teams to maintain data privacy and system resilience
