JOB DESCRIPTIONDesignation Senior Research Associate Associate Scientist Job Location Bangalore Department Discovery BiologyAbout Syngene Incorporated in 1993 Syngene International Ltd is an innovation-focused global discovery development and manufacturing organization providing integrated scientific services to the pharmaceutical biotechnology nutrition animal health consumer goods and specialty chemical industries around the world Syngene s clientele includes world leaders such as Bristol-Myers Squibb Baxter Amgen GSK Merck KGaA and Herbalife Its innovative culture is driven by the passion of its 4240- strong team of scientists who work with clients from around the world to solve their scientific problems improve R D productivity speed up time to market and lower the cost of innovation Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities Experience in in-vitro Ex-Vivo Biochemical assays cell culture experience primary cell isolation and culture basic knowledge of molecular biology assay development troubleshooting data analysis data interpretation and presentation Educational Qualification M S M Pharm M Tech M Sc Biological sciences Technical functional Skills Proficient in biochemical assays like ELISA Western blot SDS-PAGE multimode reader-based assays etc Expertise in primary cell-based assays primary cell isolation from blood PBMCs PMNs T-cells B-cells and tissues Experience in multicolour flow cytometry and high content imaging assays is a plus Strong understanding of biology and ability to adapt to changing program requirements Be a part of the team to build strong internal scientific expertise and introduce new techniques for the evaluation therapeutic tools in various therapeutic areas such as Fibrosis Immunology oncology etc Good communication skills good presentation skills hardworking sincere and a team player Must demonstrate integrity and take accountability of their work Ability to independently execute the studies detail oriented at the bench excellent troubleshooting abilities Knowledge on scientific data collection Bio-statistical analysis and interpretation of data Experience 2-7 years in drug research relevant area of research Behavioral Skills Teamwork Effective communication and Collaboration Equal Opportunity Employer It is the policy of Syngene to provide equal employment opportunity EEO to all persons regardless of age color national origin citizenship status physical or mental disability race religion creed gender sex sexual orientation gender identity and or expression genetic information marital status status with regard to public assistance veteran status or any other characteristic protected by applicable legislation or local law In addition Syngene will provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities Syngene International
