About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Manager to join our team in Jaipur. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in production management within the fashion or textile industry. This role requires strong organizational skills, technical design knowledge, and a passion for slow fashion and Indian crafts.

Key Responsibilities:

Communication:

- Act as the primary liaison between departments such as sourcing, purchasing, accounts, production, and shipping.
- Collaborate with buyers, suppliers, laborers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Production Planning:

- Develop and manage the Time and Action (TNA) Plan, critical path schedules, and order timelines.
- Coordinate processes including yarn procurement, knitting, dyeing, printing, sampling, and garment production.

Monitoring Progress:

- Track project milestones to ensure timely completion.
- Identify and resolve issues that may arise during production, ensuring seamless operations.

Decision-Making:

- Make key decisions related to order processing, fabric approvals, color choices, printing methods, and supplier selection.
- Coordinate with buyers to extend timelines if unexpected delays occur.

Sourcing and Procurement:

- Source high-quality materials and accessories at competitive prices.
- Ensure compliance with buyer specifications and quality standards.

Negotiation:

- Manage price negotiations with suppliers and vendors to ensure cost efficiency.
- Handle approvals, shipment timelines, and product quality during discussions with buyers.

Cost Management:

- Collaborate with senior management to estimate product costs and determine pricing strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of cost calculations to ensure effective budget management.

Coordination and Collaboration:

- Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve challenges proactively.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure product consistency and adherence to standards.

Meetings and Reporting:

- Lead weekly meetings with production and related teams to track order status.
- Provide detailed reports to management and buyers regarding order progress and potential issues.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

- Maintain organized records of order sheets, testing reports, approvals, inspection details, and buyer communications.

Staff Management:

- Oversee factory staff to ensure adherence to production schedules.
- Monitor production output, identify errors, and implement swift solutions to maintain quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

- 3-5 years of experience in production management, preferably in the fashion or textile industry.
- Strong knowledge of textile design, garment construction, and quality control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer tools for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and adapt to dynamic production requirements.
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high production standards.
