Job Title: Service Engineer - Air Compressors - Field Job Location: Mumbai (field work) Job Description: Looking for ITI/Diploma candidates to handle installation, maintenance, and repair of air compressors at client sites. Field job across Mumbai region. Requirements: ITI (Fitter / Electrician / Mechanical) Freshers can apply Willing to travel for service calls Basic mechanical/electrical knowledge Salary: ₹12,000 – ₹16,000/month + Travel AllowanceKey Responsibilities:1. Installation & Commissioning: Install air compressors and related accessories at client locations as per layout and safety norms. Ensure alignment, vibration checks, piping, wiring, and startup procedures are properly followed. Coordinate with the sales and operations team for project handover and documentation. 2. Preventive Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance services on scheduled dates. Check oil levels, air filters, belts, electrical connections, and control panels. Maintain a service checklist and submit a report after each visit. 3. Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults in compressor systems. Repair or replace faulty parts (motors, valves, controllers, filters, etc.) using standard tools. Escalate major issues to senior engineers or service managers. 4. Client Interaction: Communicate with clients and operators at site for understanding issues and explaining repairs. Educate operators about proper compressor usage and daily maintenance tips. Maintain professional behavior and represent the company positively at all sites. 5. Documentation & Reporting: Complete service job cards with all relevant information – time, parts replaced, observations. Take site photos (if required), collect customer signatures, and submit feedback forms. Maintain service records digitally or in physical logs as instructed. 6. Parts Handling: Carry necessary spare parts and tools for the job based on work order or service alert. Inform the supervisor about parts shortages or restocking requirements. Ensure proper handling and return of unused inventory. 7. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures during service – including lockout/tagout, PPE usage, and handling pressurized systems. Report any site hazards or incidents immediately to the safety officer or service manager.
