The Housekeeping Staff is assigned to provide a sterile and secure environment for expectant mothers babies and medical personnel in the LDR Complex labour Delivery and Recovery and uphold strict standards of cleanliness and hygiene This role requires timely support during and after deliveries with strict adherence to infection control measures and waste disposal protocols as per hospital guidelines Key Responsibilities Thoroughly clean and disinfect the LDR Labor Delivery and Recovery Complex including bathrooms and toilets and baby care area Disinfect the labour room thoroughly before and after every delivery including the beds floors walls equipment and frequently touched surfaces Handle and dispose of biomedical waste such as placentas soiled linens and medical disposables following hospital and governmental guidelines Immediately change and replace any soiled bed sheets towels and gowns after use Restock essential items sanitary pads bed sheets gloves hand wash etc as necessary Refill essential toiletry supplies Ensure all cleaning tools and supplies are properly sterilized and stored after use Adhere to strict infection control and prevention protocols at all times Wear proper personal protective equipment PPE such as gloves masks and aprons while on duty Inform the supervisor of any maintenance concerns or damages Work collaboratively with nursing staff and follow their guidance during deliveries Maintain polite respectful and professional behaviour while interacting with patients staff and visitors Qualifications and Requirements Minimum Education 10th or 12th preferred Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting especially in maternity or labour rooms is highly desirable Possesses good knowledge and adheres strictly to infection prevention and control protocols Willingness to work on weekends holidays when required Physically fit and able to handle intensive cleaning work Ability to work independently manage multiple tasks simultaneously Keep a calm and responsible attitude in high-pressure situations Commitment to patient safety and hospital standards Candidates with prior experience will be preferred and local applicants are highly encouraged to apply Only Female candidates may Apply Additional Information This is a two-year project scheduled to conclude in February 2026 therefore the employment will end upon the completion of the project Job Type Full-time Pay 8 000 00 - 10 000 00 per month Benefits Paid sick time Provident Fund Schedule Day shift Fixed shift Shift availability Day Shift Preferred Night Shift Preferred Work Location In person
