Job Description
We are seeking an experienced MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in system administration and database management. The candidate will be responsible for provisioning, maintaining, and optimizing MySQL instances in both clustered and non-clustered environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision, configure, and maintain MySQL instances (clustered & non-clustered).
- Configure and manage MySQL replication (master-slave, group replication).
- Perform database upgrades, backups, recovery, and migration activities.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Implement automation scripts using Unix shell scripting for routine tasks.
- Administer and fine-tune MySQL storage engines (InnoDB, MyISAM).
- Work with MySQL event schedulers, backup tools, and monitoring solutions.
- Ensure database security, compliance, and high availability.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for database deployment in containerized environments.
Mandatory Skills
- MySQL administration (57 years total experience; 46 years relevant experience).
- Replication configuration in MySQL.
- Strong knowledge of InnoDB and MyISAM storage engines.
- Unix shell scripting and task automation.
Good To Have
- Knowledge of deploying MySQL via Operators.
- Experience deploying MySQL instances on Kubernetes.
