Job Description Engineering Lead, VP Position Overview Job Title: Engineering Lead, VP Location: Pune, India Role Description The Observability Engineering Lead is responsible for the strategic and technical leadership of the observability and monitoring function within the organisation. This role will oversee the implementation, optimisation, and management of monitoring tools such as NewRelic, Nimsoft, Geneos, and capacity management solutions. The lead will also manage the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) function, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of critical systems. Subject Matter Expertise: - Act as the SME for NewRelic, Nimsoft, Geneos, and capacity management tools. - Provide technical guidance and best practices for observability and monitoring. Operational Excellence: - Ensure robust monitoring, alerting, and capacity management processes are in place. - Drive transformation projects in the observability space, focusing on scalability, reliability, and cost optimization. - Oversee the software engineering lifecycle, license cost management, and Agile practices Your skills and experience - Hands on experience on NewRelic, Nimsoft, Geneos. Experience in capacity management tools. Must have managed an engineering team of 20+. - Strong background in technical architecture and transformation of observability tools. - Demonstrated success in planning and executing large transformation projects in the observability space. - Must have a good understanding of software engineering lifecycle, license cost management, Agile. Should be familiar with Jira, Confluence or equivalent tools. Must have good analytical and problem solving skills. - Good communication skills and stakeholder management are mandatory. - Experience in a banking/financial organizations, development experience using Java/Python/nodeJS & enterprise grade scheduling tools is an advantage.
