The Company has a manufacturing footprint of more than 1 lakh sq m, with the mainstay of product development and R&D being energy-efficiency, coupled with eco-friendly and sustainable products What Your Role Entails The BLDC Motor Firmware Manager is responsible for leading the development, validation, and deployment of firmware for BLDC motor control systems. The role ensures that all motor controllers achieve optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency, aligning with product requirements and timelines. The manager will lead a team of firmware engineers, collaborating closely with hardware, mechanical, and system integration teams. What You'll Do: - Define and implement control algorithms for BLDC motors (sensor-based and sensor less). - Develop PWM control strategies, field-oriented control (FOC), and torque/speed optimisation. - Ensure firmware supports various motor types (fan motors, compressor motors, pump motors, etc.). - Optimise firmware for efficiency, thermal management, and acoustic noise reduction. - Analyse test results, identify issues, and implement corrective actions. - Ensure compliance with safety, reliability, and regulatory standards (CE, RE, IEC). - Work closely with hardware, system, and mechanical teams to ensure firmware compatibility and integration. - Define firmware development schedules and ensure on-time delivery. - Track project progress, risks, and dependencies with a proactive approach. - Report project status to senior management and stakeholders. - Introduce new algorithms, tools, and processes to improve firmware performance and development efficiency. - Benchmark against industry standards and emerging motor control technologies. Your success is grounded in - B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Eng with minimum 8 years of experience. - In-depth knowledge of BLDC motor control algorithms (FOC, V/f control, sensor less control). - Proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming for micro controllers (STM32, TI, or similar). - Experience with RTOS, PWM timers, ADCs, and communication protocols (UART, CAN, Modbus). - Hands-on experience with motor test benches, data acquisition, and tuning firmware parameters. - Knowledge of firmware version control (Git, SVN) and development life cycle processes. - Understanding of PCB schematics, circuit behaviour, and basic electronic components. - Knowledge of firmware development life cycle including requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, and validation. - Experience with firmware over-the-air (FOTA) updates, power management, and secure boot loaders is an advantage. - Strong leadership and team management skills. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. - Effective communication and coordination with cross-functional teams. - Ownership mindset and ability to drive projects to completion under tight timelines. - Innovative and proactive in suggesting improvements in firmware or process.
