to our success Senior APIGEE Platform EngineerJob SummaryWe are looking for a highly skilled Senior Apigee Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team In this role you will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining API management solutions using Google Clouds Apigee platform You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our APIs are secure scalable and performant ResponsibilitiesDesign DevelopmentArchitect and develop API proxies and policies using Apigee EdgeDesign and implement API management strategies including security analytics and monitoringDevelop custom policies using JavaScript Python Java or Node js where neededLead Capacity Planning and Management activities to ensure that the Apigee platform will be able to handle additional transactions in the futureAPI ManagementManage the full API lifecycle including API publishing consumption and retirementImplement API security including OAuth JWT SAML and other authentication methodsMonitor API performance and troubleshoot issues using Apigee tools and analyticsIntegration AutomationIntegrate Apigee with various backend services databases and third-party systemsAutomate API deployment and testing using CI CD pipelinesEnsure APIs are compliant with organisational standards and best practicesCollaborationWork closely with application development teams to ensure APIs meet business and technical requirementsCollaborate with DevOps teams to ensure the stability and scalability of the API platformProvide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineersMaintenance fieldExperience8 years of experience in API management and developmentExtensive experience with Apigee Edge or Apigee X in designing developing and managing APIsStrong knowledge of RESTful API design principles and best practicesExperience with cloud platforms e g Google Cloud Platform AWS is a plusTechnical SkillsProficiency in programming languages such as Java Python JavaScript or Node jsExperience with API security protocols like OAuth JWT and API key managementFamiliarity with CI CD pipelines and DevOps practicesKnowledge of API analytics logging and monitoring toolsExperience with APIGEE Edge Developer portal and APIGEE BaasKnowledge of existing API Testing Tools Postman SoapUI or any equivalent tools Knowledge of flow Web hooks Virtual hosts and TLS configurationSoft
