Techwave we are always in an exercise to foster a culture of growth and inclusivity We ensure whoever is associated with the brand is being challenged at every step and is provided with all the necessary opportunities to excel in life People are at the core of everything we do Join us Who are we Techwave is a leading global IT and engineering services and solutions company revolutionizing digital transformations We believe in enabling clients to maximize the potential and achieve a greater market with a wide array of technology services including but not limited to Enterprise Resource Planning Application Development Analytics Digital and the Internet of things IoT Founded in 2004 headquartered in Houston TX USA Techwave leverages its expertise in Digital Transformation Enterprise Applications and Engineering Services to enable businesses accelerate their growth Plus we re a team of dreamers and doers who are pushing the boundaries of what s possible And we want YOU to be a part of it Job Title PAAS DBA L2-L3 Engineer Experience 6 Mode of Hire Fulltime Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and versatile Database Administrator with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database administration The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience with Oracle ASM RAC and OEM VMware vCenter Windows and Linux server administration and DevOps tools such as Terraform and Ansible This role involves designing implementing and maintaining robust database environments ensuring high availability performance and security while contributing to automation and infrastructure improvements through collaborative teamwork and best practices Key Responsibilities Database Administration Strong knowledge of database architecture performance tuning and high-availability solutions Install configure upgrade and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database environments across production test and development landscapes Manage Oracle Automatic Storage Management ASM configure and monitor Real Application Clusters RAC and administer Oracle Enterprise Manager OEM for proactive database monitoring and management Perform advanced database performance tuning query optimization and capacity planning to ensure optimal system performance Implement test and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery solutions RMAN SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups log shipping replication Apply regular database patching and upgrades while minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with security policies Troubleshoot and resolve complex database performance replication and connectivity issues across SQL Server and Oracle environments Administer virtualization environments with VMware vCenter including VM provisioning performance optimization and capacity monitoring for database servers Perform Windows Server and Linux RHEL Ubuntu system administration including OS patching file system management and security hardening for database hosts Automate database provisioning configuration and maintenance tasks using Terraform Ansible and scripting languages such as PowerShell Bash or Python Collaborate closely with application developers system engineers and network teams to design and deliver optimal database infrastructure solutions Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database architecture configuration standards operational procedures and troubleshooting guidelines Actively participate in team collaboration knowledge sharing sessions and cross-functional project planning to ensure consistent and efficient database operations
