Job Description Role Proficiency: Resolve enterprise trouble tickets within agreed SLA and raise problem tickets for permanent resolution and/or provide mentorship (Hierarchical or Lateral) to junior associates. Mandatory Skills: Email Security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Phishing Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and enhance Email Security, Data Loss Prevention, and Phishing protection mechanisms. Experience: 5 to 8 years Preferred Technology: Proofpoint (Email Security). Education Qualification :Bachelors of Engineering (Computer science ) JOB DESCRIPTION: Configure and manage modules such as Email Protection, Targeted Attack Protection, and Threat Protection in Proofpoint. Define and maintain policies for inbound/outbound filtering, spam protection, URL defense, and attachment protection. Demonstrate strong knowledge of SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and MX records. Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving operational tickets related to Email Security using Proofpoint. Perform phishing email analysis, troubleshooting, and remediation. Manage email alerts and incidents generated by the Proofpoint Email Monitoring system (end-to-end response management). Act as an administrator for the Proofpoint application. Hands-on experience with email MTAs, spam filters, and rule configuration. Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and related documentation. Perform upgrades and maintenance on Proofpoint email security solutions. Familiar with Incident, Service Request, Change, and Problem Management processes; ensure SLA compliance and operational excellence. Collaborate with vendors for timely resolution of platform-related tickets. Assist in implementing countermeasures and mitigating controls for email security issues. Possess good knowledge of Secure Email Gateway (SEG) and IESS solutions such as Proofpoint, Abnormal AI, and Checkpoint Harmony. Working knowledge of ITSM tools like Remedy and ServiceNow. Flexible to work 247 in rotational shifts. Skill Examples :. Communication , Documentation & Runbooks , Ticket Handling ,Networking , Server Management , Storage and Backup , Cloud Technologies(AWS,AZURE OR GCP) ,Tools & Automation ,Monitoring ,Database Management , Quality Analysis. Knowledge Examples 1. Strong understanding of customer infrastructure and related Configuration Items (CIs). 2. ITIL Foundation Certified. 3. Thorough hardware knowledge and basic capacity planning understanding. 4. Solid understanding of storage and backup fundamentals. Networking - Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls. - Working knowledge of BGP, load balancers, and WAN optimizers. - Advanced backup and restore knowledge using enterprise tools. Server - Basic to intermediate knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, and Python scripting. - Skilled in AD group policy management, troubleshooting, and tools. - Understanding of AD object creation, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and SCCM/SCOM administration. Storage and Backup - Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one storage or backup technology. Tools - Proficient in Windows and Linux OS troubleshooting and administration. Monitoring - Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and monitoring functions. Database - Knowledge of general database management, OS systems, and networking fundamentals.
