Position: System Architect

Location: Bengaluru

Employment Type: Full-time/Contract

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced System Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of our Traffic & Vehicle Management Application. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of scalable software architectures, particularly in the vehicle and transportation sector. This system will handle sensitive personal, traffic, and vehicle data, and will integrate with the traffic management system, transportation department processes, and a payment gateway. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the application is robust, secure, and future-proof.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design and development of the traffic management platform's architecture, ensuring scalability, low latency, and resilience for real-time traffic and vehicle data processing.
- Convert business objectives, regulatory mandates, and operational needs into a cohesive system blueprint that supports traffic optimization and vehicle management.
- Design and enforce data privacy and security mechanisms to safeguard sensitive personal, payment, and traffic-related data
- Facilitate seamless integration with traffic management systems, government portals and external payment gateways.
- Establish architectural standards, system components, APIs, and data workflows to support efficient traffic and vehicle management operations.
- Partner with business units, operations teams, developers, and third-party vendors to align architecture with organizational goals and technical requirements.
- Create detailed documentation, including system diagrams, integration models, and data flow designs, to guide development and ensure clarity for stakeholders.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tools to ensure scalability, resilience, and compliance.
- systems to meet data protection, financial transaction, and government-mandated standards specific to the transportation sector.
- Provide technical leadership to development and DevOps teams, ensuring the solution design is effectively implemented, tested, and deployed.

Requirements

- 812 years of experience in system architecture and solution design, ideally for large-scale, government, or public sector systems.
- Expertise in designing scalable, real-time applications for on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Strong knowledge of data security, privacy frameworks, and regulatory compliance for sensitive data.
- Proven experience integrating systems with third-party platforms, including government and payment gateways, with focus on transaction security and audit trails.
- Deep understanding of enterprise architecture principles and design methodologies to align solutions with business goals.
- Familiarity with traffic management or transportation systems (preferred).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills for creating clear system designs and engaging stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including business, technical, and vendor stakeholders.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
