Job Title: Senior Power BI Administrator

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Administrator to join our team. This role focuses on the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Power BI environments. The ideal candidate will ensure the seamless operation of Power BI services, manage user access, and maintain data security and integrity

Responsibilities:

- Administer Power BI environments: Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Power BI workspaces, datasets, and reports
- User access management: Manage user roles and permissions to ensure appropriate access to Power BI resources
- Performance monitoring: Monitor the performance of Power BI services and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality
- Data security: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive data within Power BI
- Compliance: Ensure Power BI environments comply with organizational policies and industry regulations
- Capacity planning: Plan and manage the capacity of Power BI environments to support growing data and user needs
- Backup and recovery: Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures for Power BI data and configurations
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Power BI administration processes and procedures
- Training and support: Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionalities and best practices

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor&aposs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Power BI administration or a similar role
- Certifications: Power BI certification (eg, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) is preferred
- Technical skills: Proficiency in Power BI administration, including workspace management, user access, and security settings
- Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve Power BI issues
- Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with users and stakeholders
- Attention to detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and security
- Organizational skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Team collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with IT and data teams
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing technologies and processes

Required Knowledge and Skills:

- Power BI: In-depth knowledge of Power BI administration and configuration
- Data security: Understanding of data security principles and practices
- Compliance: Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements related to data management
- Performance monitoring: Skills in monitoring and optimizing the performance of Power BI services
- Backup and recovery: Expertise in developing and implementing backup and recovery procedures
- Documentation: Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation for administrative processes
- Training: Skills in providing training and support to end-users
- Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues
- Capacity planning: Experience in planning and managing the capacity of data environments

Technologies, Coding Languages, and Methodologies:

- Power BI: Advanced knowledge of Power BI tools and services
- Azure: Experience with Microsoft Azure services related to Power BI
- Cloud computing: Familiarity with cloud computing environments and services
- Agile methodologies: Experience with Agile methodologies for project management
