About the Role We are seeking an experiencedSenior UK Accountantto join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding ofUK GAAP, FRS 102/105, andCompanies Houserequirements, along with experience managing a portfolio of clients. You'll be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, supervising junior staff, and ensuring all compliance deadlines are met. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and reviewyear-end statutory accountsunderUK GAAP / FRS 102 or FRS 105. - Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of accounting and tax services. - OverseeVAT returns, payroll submissions, and management accounts. - Liaise withHMRC and Companies Houseon filings, queries, and compliance matters. - Conductbalance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end adjustments. - Support the preparation ofcorporation tax computationsandself-assessment tax returns. - Review work prepared by junior accountants and provide mentorship and technical guidance. - Identify process improvements and contribute to best practice across the accounting function. Qualifications - ACA / ACCA qualified(or finalist / equivalent experience). - Minimum46 years of UK accounting experience, ideally within a practice environment. - Strong knowledge ofUK GAAP,FRS 102,VAT, andcorporation tax principles. - Experience with accounting software such asXero, QuickBooks, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics. - Excellent communication and client management skills. - Strong Excel skills and attention to detail. Preferred Experience - Prior experience in aUK accounting firmoroutsourced client accounting environment. - Exposure tomulti-entity accountingandcloud-based workflows. - Experience reviewing and supervising team deliverables.
