Role :- Accountant/Financial Modeling (Australian Exp) About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper with strong expertise in Xero software and financial modeling, specifically with hands-on experience in the Australian market. This role involves managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and developing financial models to support business decision-making. Key Responsibilities: - Perform full-cycle bookkeeping using Xero for Australian-based businesses - Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and supplier/customer invoices - Maintain accurate and compliant financial records in line with Australian accounting standards and tax requirements - Prepare BAS (Business Activity Statements) and support GST reporting as per Australian taxation laws - Assist with payroll processing and superannuation compliance - Develop and maintain financial models to analyze business performance and support forecasting and budgeting - Collaborate with management to produce financial insights and reports for strategic decisions - Support external audits and liaise with accountants and financial advisors as needed Essential Skills & Experience: - Proven bookkeeping experience with working knowledge of Australian accounting principles and tax regulations - Advanced proficiency in Xero accounting software - Strong capability in building and interpreting financial models (Excel-based and other tools) - Familiarity with BAS preparation and reporting under Australian GST rules - Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reconciliation - Ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights - Excellent organizational and communication skills Desirable: - Certification or diploma in accounting/bookkeeping or related field - Experience with payroll and superannuation processing in Australia - Knowledge of other accounting software (e.g., MYOB, QuickBooks) is a plus
