Creative WordPress Developer – SEO & Digital Marketing Expert

Location: Remote (Preferred: US Time Zones)

About the Role:

We're looking for a highly creative and technically skilled WordPress Developer who not only knows the ins and outs of building beautiful, functional WordPress websites—but also understands how to grow traffic, optimize for SEO, build engagement, and drive conversions. You'll be instrumental in enhancing our online presence, building optimized landing pages, improving search rankings, writing SEO-friendly blog posts, and supporting our broader digital marketing initiatives.

This is not a narrow dev-only role. We're looking for a well-rounded expert who thrives at the intersection of WordPress development, SEO strategy, content creation, and digital growth.

What You'll Do:
WordPress Development

- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites (including custom themes, plugins, and reusable components).
- Build high-converting landing pages, homepages, and blog templates.
- Perform database-level updates, fix performance bottlenecks, and handle backend optimizations.
- Manage WordPress templates and ensure responsive, cross-browser compatibility.

SEO & Analytics

- Perform keyword research, internal linking strategies, and on-page SEO optimization.
- Set up and manage Google Search Console, Analytics, Tag Manager, and track trends.
- Implement off-page SEO strategies and backlink outreach.
- Optimize pages for Core Web Vitals and performance scores.

Content Creation

- Write and publish SEO-optimized blog articles on various topics.
- Use Generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, SurferSEO, etc.) for content ideation and drafting.
- Collaborate on content planning for marketing funnels and campaigns.

Graphic Design & Media

- Design visual assets like hero banners, blog graphics, social media creatives, etc.
- Proficiency in tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator.
- Support UX/UI improvements through well-designed web components.

Social Media & Outreach

- Manage company presence on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.
- Assist in content posting, community engagement, and follower growth.
- Perform outreach and prospecting to generate leads for digital marketing services.

Tools & Platforms You Should Know:

- WordPress (with PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL)
- Yoast SEO, Rank Math, or All in One SEO Pack
- Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager
- ChatGPT / Jasper / Writesonic (AI Content Tools)
- Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects
- Social Media Platforms & Schedulers (Buffer, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite)
- Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg Blocks
- SEMRush / Ahrefs / Ubersuggest
- Trello, Notion, Slack, Google Workspace

Requirements:

- 3+ years of hands-on experience with WordPress development.
- Strong portfolio showcasing websites, landing pages, and SEO results.
- Proven ability to increase traffic, improve conversion rates, and enhance user engagement.
- Knowledge of digital marketing funnels, customer journey, and CRO.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in Digital Marketing, Web Development, or related fields.
- Strong communication skills and client-facing confidence.
- Willingness to take ownership of projects and drive results.

Bonus Points:

- Experience in freelancing, agency work, or client management.
- Knowledge of marketing automation, email marketing tools (Mailchimp, Klaviyo).
- Ability to conduct competitive SEO analysis and A/B testing.
- Familiarity with eCommerce (WooCommerce, Shopify) is a plus.
