We seek an experienced and versatile Senior Product Designer to lead and evolve our Design System, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability across our product suite. While the primary focus will be on the Design System, the ideal candidate will also possess strong skills in leveraging AI tools to enhance the design process and demonstrate flexibility to contribute to other design initiatives as needed. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail, a passion for user-centered design, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

What you will do:

- Design System Leadership: Own and maintain the company's Design System, developing and documenting UI components, patterns, and guidelines to ensure a cohesive and scalable visual language across all products.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate the Design System into the development process, ensuring alignment with product vision and user needs.
- AI Integration in Design: Utilize AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to conduct preliminary research, generate design ideas, and validate assumptions, thereby accelerating the design process and fostering innovation.
- Rapid Prototyping: Employ platforms like Bolt.new to quickly build and iterate on prototypes, facilitating prompt user testing and feedback collection to inform design decisions.
- User-Centered Design: Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform and validate design decisions, ensuring that designs meet user needs and enhance user experience.
- Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior designers, sharing expertise in Design Systems and AI tools, and promote best practices within the design team to elevate overall design quality.
- Adaptability to Other Projects: In the event that the Design System project is deprioritized, contribute effectively to other design projects, applying skills in UI/UX design, prototyping, and user research as needed.

What You've Done

- Experience: 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in creating and managing Design Systems, as well as user-centered design solutions.
- AI Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT for research and ideation purposes, showcasing the ability to integrate AI into the design workflow effectively.
- Rapid Prototyping Skills: Proficiency with rapid prototyping platforms like Bolt.new, enabling quick development and iteration of design concepts.
- Design Tools: Expertise in design tools such as Figma, with experience in building and maintaining component libraries and design systems within these platforms.
- Front-End Understanding: Strong understanding of front-end development principles to ensure feasible and effective implementation of design components.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and developing innovative solutions.
- Adaptability: Demonstrated flexibility to pivot between projects and contribute to various design initiatives as organizational needs evolve.
