Role & Responsibilities:

This role is for an Engineering & Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) . The team is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting software and infrastructure services used by Wholesale, Retail, and affiliate teams across different regions (Japan, India, UK, etc.).

1. Building & Maintaining Software Understand user requirements and develop software solutions.
2. Support & Troubleshooting Work on issues reported by users and ensure the platform is stable.
3. Incident, Problem & Change Management Handle technical issues, ensure smooth upgrades, and keep services running efficiently.
4. Automation & Scripting Use Ansible, Python, and Unix Shell scripting to automate processes and reduce manual work.(Python is mandatory)
5. Collaboration & Documentation Work with global teams, document processes, and maintain best practices.
6. Monitoring & Reliability Use tools like Grafana to monitor system health and improve reliability.
7. Cloud & Containerization Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS to build scalable infrastructure.
8. Shift-Based & On-Call Support Support operations during early morning or evening shifts, and occasionally on weekends during major releases.

Mandatory Skills
Linux/Unix & Shell Scripting Essential for managing and troubleshooting servers.
Programming & Automation Experience in Python or Core Java and tools like Ansible for automating tasks.
CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code Knowledge of Jenkins, Terraform, and similar tools to streamline software deployment.
Incident & Change Management Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools like ServiceNow (SNOW).
Containers & Cloud Experience with Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.
Good Communication Skills Required for working with global teams.
Preferred Skills
Experience with REST APIs
Knowledge of AWS Cloud
Background in Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science
Experience with hybrid cloud environments (mix of on-premise & cloud services)
