Job Overview A Field Sales Executive – Solar Products is responsible for promoting and selling solar energy solutions directly at client sites, including residential, commercial, and industrial locations. The Field Sales Executive represents the company in the market, builds client relationships, and drives revenue growth through direct interaction and on-site consultations. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy active, field-based work and hands-on sales experience. Key Responsibilities 1. Lead Generation & Prospecting Identify potential clients through market research, networking, referrals, and local surveys. Develop a pipeline of prospective clients by visiting homes, offices, commercial establishments, and industrial sites. Maintain accurate records of client interactions, site assessments, and follow-ups. Collaborate with marketing campaigns to convert inquiries into viable leads. 2. On-Site Consultation & Product Demonstration Visit client sites to assess energy requirements, site feasibility, and solar potential. Conduct demonstrations of solar panels, inverters, batteries, and other solar equipment. Explain the benefits, ROI, and technical specifications of solar products in a clear, client-friendly manner. Provide customized solar solutions based on client needs, site conditions, and budget. 3. Sales & Revenue Generation Achieve or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets. Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and contracts to clients. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and service agreements to ensure mutually beneficial deals. Upsell or cross-sell additional products and services to maximize revenue opportunities. 4. Project Coordination Coordinate with the installation and technical teams to ensure smooth project execution. Share site details, client requirements, and specifications with the project team. Monitor progress of installations to ensure timely completion and client satisfaction. Address on-site issues or concerns and provide quick resolutions. 5. Documentation & Reporting Maintain detailed records of site visits, client interactions, proposals, and sales orders. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for management review. Track performance metrics such as leads converted, revenue generated, and client feedback. Ensure all contracts, invoices, and documentation are accurate and up-to-date. 6. Marketing & Promotion Participate in local promotional campaigns, exhibitions, and community awareness programs. Promote solar products through direct engagement with residential and commercial clients. Gather feedback and insights from the field to enhance marketing strategies and product offerings. Stay updated with government incentives, subsidies, and policies related to solar energy. 7. Customer Relationship Management Maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals. Provide guidance on product usage, maintenance, and energy optimization. Address client complaints or concerns professionally to ensure high satisfaction levels. Act as a trusted advisor for clients on solar energy solutions. Required Skills & Competencies 1. Communication & Interpersonal Skills Excellent verbal communication and persuasive abilities. Ability to build trust and rapport with clients quickly. Strong presentation skills for demonstrating solar solutions on-site. 2. Sales & Negotiation Skills Proven ability in field sales, lead conversion, and closing deals. Technical Knowledge Basic understanding of solar panels, inverters, batteries, and installation processes. Ability to explain technical aspects in simple, client-friendly terms. Awareness of solar industry standards, regulations, and government incentives. 4. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills Assess client needs and site feasibility to offer suitable solutions. Proactively address challenges during site visits or installations. Make informed decisions to maximize sales and customer satisfaction. 5. Organizational & Time Management Skills Ability to manage multiple client visits, leads, and follow-ups in a day. Maintain accurate records and timely reporting. Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and sales targets efficiently. 6. Physical Stamina & Mobility Comfortable traveling to client sites across different locations and terrains. Ability to handle on-site tasks and extended field hours.
