Application Development Lead Analyst

Position Overview:

The Application Development Lead Analyst will assist the team in coordinating software development, and designs, codes, tests, and debugs in partnership with senior engineers. Possesses knowledge of activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities and the benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications. Converts business requirements and logical models into technical application design using application design activities, tools and techniques. Designs, plans and executes application testing strategies and tactics to ensure software quality throughout all stages of application development.

Responsibilities:

- Works within an agile team to provides comprehensive consultation to business unit, IT management and staff on phases of application programming and processes for diverse development platforms, computing environments (e.g., distributed systems, client server, software, hardware, technologies and tools, etc.)
- With support from senior engineers works closely with client, IT management and staff to identify application development solutions, new or modified programs, reuse of existing code through the use of program development software alternatives, integration of purchased solutions or a combination of the available alternatives
- Researches and supports evaluation of alternative solutions, recommends the most efficient and cost effective application programming solution.
- Completes day-to-day tasks without immediate supervision but has ready access to advice from more experienced team members.
- May code new or modified programs, reuse existing code through the use of program development software alternatives and / or integrates purchased solutions
- Works within an agile team (Team Layer, Program Layer, Large Solution Layer, and Portfolio Layer) to develop, test, and maintain business applications built on Salesforce technologies with delivery timelines
- Works closely with Application Delivery Lead, Technical Leads and Project Manager to escalate and resolve project issues in a timely and effective manner
- Ability to implement end-to-end solution requirements
- Has experience with matrixed organizations, knows how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal network
- Able to work within established architectural conclusions, CIGNA technical standards, governance processes, and defined analysis methodologies

Qualifications

Required Experience / Qualifications:

- At least 5 - 8 years of solid, diverse work experience in IT with a minimum of five years of experience application program development, or the equivalent in education and work experience
- Demonstrated history of strong communication and collaboration abilities in a highly matrix environment
- Experience with Agile software development methodology, with an understanding of SAFe Agile framework and principles
- Analytical, troubleshooting and management skills
- Experience with .NET core application development
- Familiarity with relational database (Oracle), cloud computing (AWS), Angular

Desired Experience / Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Solid Planning abilities - demonstrated history of achieving milestone dates for a group of project tasks and ensuring their completion Experience in Healthcare industry and Pharmacy systems a plus.

Location & Hours of Work:

- Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate.
- Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India, with flexibility to work remotely as required.
