Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Design Engineer specializing in water side HVAC systems to join our engineering team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in the design of chilled water systems, cooling towers, pumping systems, heat exchangers, and hydronic balancing. You will play a key role in the design and execution of high-performance building systems across commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and sizing of water side HVAC components including:
- Chilled water systems
- Condenser water systems
- Cooling towers
- Primary-secondary pumping systems
- Heat exchangers
- Expansion tanks, air separators, etc.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and pump head calculations.
- Prepare system schematics, P&IDs, and detailed layout drawings.
- Conduct equipment selection based on capacity, efficiency, and site-specific requirements.
- Work with software tools such as HAP, PipeFlow, AutoCAD, and Revit MEP for modeling and simulation.
- Develop BOQs, technical specifications, and control logic related to water side HVAC systems.
- Ensure designs comply with standards such as ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC, and relevant energy codes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, plumbing, automation) to ensure integrated system design.
- Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and coordination with vendors and contractors.
- Support commissioning teams by providing design clarifications and resolving site issues during execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 3 to 8 years of hands-on experience in HVAC design, with a strong focus on water side systems like chilled water systems, cooling towers, pumping systems.
- Proficient in design tools such as HAP, PipeFlow, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Familiarity with energy-efficient design principles and control strategies for water side systems.
- Knowledge of various valve types, hydronic balancing techniques, and equipment integration.
- Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills.
