Job Description

Knowledge Artisans is hiring a Founding AI Engineer / Technical Product Lead on behalf of one of our strategic global clients. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a zero-to-one AI product that will power next-gen agentic AI assistants in the Procurement domain.

You'll lead the architecture, design, and hands-on development of AI agents using LLMs, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and structured data pipelines building enterprise-grade AI that solves real business problems at scale.

What You'll Do:

- Architect and develop Procurement AI Agents for enterprise users.
- Implement LLM-based pipelines (RAG, prompt engineering, context construction).
- Integrate vector databases (Chroma, FAISS) for document indexing & semantic search.
- Build robust Python services for data ingestion, processing & orchestration.
- Work with structured data (CSVs, ledgers, SaaS usage reports) to classify spend & power insights.
- Support front-end development for interactive chat UIs and AI explainability.
- Ensure privacy, reliability, and explainability building real enterprise software, not chat demos.
- Contribute actively to product roadmap & feature prioritization.

What We're Looking For:

- 7+ years in Software Engineering / ML Engineering / AI & LLM Development.
- Proven hands-on experience building with LLMs (OpenAI, LLaMA, Claude, Mistral, DeepSeek).
- Strong Python engineering skills; familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar.
- Comfortable with vector databases, semantic search, chunking & indexing.
- Experience with structured data pipelines (pandas, SQL, data validation).
- Pragmatic mindset: focus on shipping useful solutions, not just academic work.
- Experience building secure, modular APIs & backend services.

Bonus Points:

- Background in Procurement, Legal Tech, or Enterprise SaaS domains.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior devs or interns.
