IS Engineer

Job Description

In this vital role, you will be a hands-on IS Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and solutions that meet business needs. Your primary focus will be on Veeva Clinical Operations Vault applications, where you will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create high-quality, scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong rapid prototyping skills and a passion for ensuring the availability and performance of critical systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Software Development & Prototyping: Design, develop, and implement applications and modules, including custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements for Veeva Clinical Operations Vault. You will possess strong rapid prototyping skills to quickly translate concepts into working code.
- Technical Analysis & Design: Analyze and understand the functional and technical requirements of Veeva Vault applications, translating them into software architecture and design specifications.
- Operations & Maintenance: Lead the day-to-day operations and maintenance of Veeva Clinical Operations Vault applications. You will also automate operations, monitor system health, and respond to incidents to minimize downtime.
- Quality & Compliance: Develop and implement unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure software quality, following IS change control and GxP validation processes. You will also maintain detailed documentation of software designs and development processes.
- Collaboration & Integration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software on time. You will also work on integrating with other systems and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.

Qualifications

- A Master's degree with 1-3 years of experience, a Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience, or a Diploma with 7-9 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Veeva Vault configuration and applications, such as Vault Clinical.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, JavaScript, or others, and proficient in writing SQL queries.
- A strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
- Experience with API integrations such as MuleSoft and version control systems like Git is a plus.
- SAFe for Teams, MuleSoft certified developer, or Vault Platform Administrator certifications are preferred.
- Experience in managing GxP systems and implementing GxP projects is a plus.
