Configuration Management to join the Maintenance Engineering team to support various maintenance engineering projects at Chennai These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial BCA and Wisk business organization A successful candidate will create change or revise airplane maintenance publications using a variety of automated research tools and authoring systems They will analyze basic engineering designs and design changes to determine maintenance repair retrofit requirements procedures and instructions Position Responsibilities The successful candidate will perform the following duties Support configuration management activities for various programs Evaluating constructing and approving engineering bills of material BOM as well as reviewing and approving design engineering drawing releases Assist in developing configuration management processes and procedures in relation to the configuration management tasking Support to develop bills of materials for various aircraft systems Good understanding of CMII principles of configuration management and will be able to apply that knowledge to the change management process and configuration identification aspects of the project Assist design and manufacturing engineers in transforming an engineering bill of material into a manufacturing bill of material Gather information from engineering drawings technical specifications and other sources to ensure accuracy and completeness of engineering documents Work closely with engineers subject matter experts and other stakeholders to gather necessary information Ability to review technical publications for accuracy clarity and compliance with regulatory Original Equipment Manufacturer OEM requirements such as FAA Federal Aviation Administration or other standards Support version control management and revisions of documents drawings Being a self-starter with a positive attitude high ethics and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment Execute work independently without supervision Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work Must be willing to work flexible hours early or late as needed to interface with Boeing personnel around the world Identify the opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in the creation management and distribution of technical publications Other duties as assigned by Manager Basic Qualifications Required Skills Experience A Four Year Bachelors Degree or higher is required as a Basic Qualification 10 years of experience in Aerospace configuration management or related work experience in other similar domain Experience in design engineering and engineering drawing releases Knowledge of Teamcenter and Active Workspace as well as Easy Plan and Opcenter Good understanding of CMII principles of configuration management Experience with the applications like Jira Siemens solutions Teamcenter NX Excellent verbal and written English communication skills Experience working in Agile environment and familiar with related processes and tools Ability to define and document processes as required Ability to identify potential issues analyze and recommend improvements and alternate solutions Proven reasoning analytical abilities and mechanical aptitude Preferred Qualifications Desired Skills Experience Bachelors Degree or higher Typical Education Experience Bachelor s or equivalent with Minimum 10-12 years of experience Masters degree with 8 or more years experience in Aerospace Mechanical Electrical and Electronics Relocation This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility Export Control Requirements Not an export control positionEqual Opportunity Employer We are an equal opportunity employer We do not accept unlawful discrimination in our recruitment or employment practices on any grounds including but not limited to race color ethnicity religion national origin gender sexual orientation gender identity age physical or mental disability genetic factors military and veteran status or other characteristics covered by applicable law We have teams in more than 65 countries and each person plays a role in helping us become one of the worlds most innovative diverse and inclusive companies We are proud members of the and welcome applications from candidates with disabilities Applicants are encouraged to share with our recruitment team any accommodations required during the recruitment process Accommodations may include but are not limited to conducting interviews in accessible locations that accommodate mobility needs encouraging candidates to bring and use any existing assistive technology such as screen readers and offering flexible interview formats such as virtual or phone interviews
