In this role, you will drive the design, delivery, and operational excellence of systems powering Oracle's Semantic Index (SI) product. You will lead a high-performing engineering team and ensure key initiatives-such as SI instance creation, data bootstrapping automation, and scalable customer onboarding-are executed efficiently, securely, and with high quality. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned technical leader passionate about automation and delivering business value at scale.Qualifications:. BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) . At least 10 years experience in engineering management, with a record of leading large-scale, cloud-based platform initiatives . Expertise in distributed systems, automation, and cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS, OHAI, or similar) . Proven experience in driving strategic engineering programs and managing high-performing teams . Demonstrated leadership in building automated, scalable back-end and/or data systems . Excellent decision-making and cross-team collaboration skills . Experience with customer onboarding, control planes, observability, and resource automation is highly desirableAs Director, you will provide end-to-end leadership for teams responsible for automating and scaling SI instance provisioning and data onboarding, to dramatically increase customer onboarding efficiency and minimize manual processes. You'll ensure your team's initiatives closely align with OHAI's strategic vision for rapid platform growth, stability, and observability. You'll build a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, coach and mentor engineers, promote talent development, and enable professional growth for your team members.Your responsibilities include setting clear, measurable goals at both the individual and team levels, implementing processes to track progress, evaluating performance, and ensuring accountability. You will deliver tangible business outcomes and support Oracle's ambitious growth objectives for the SI initiative. Your strategies will directly drive the success of the Semantic Database team and the broader OHAI Platform, enabling Oracle to scale onboarding, support more customers, and strengthen operational excellence.Responsibilities:.
