Job Title Branch Credit Manager - Mortgage Underwriting Location Nuzvid Department Credit Risk Industry Housing Finance NBFC Banking Job Summary The Branch Credit Manager BCM is responsible for evaluating analyzing and approving mortgage loan proposals within defined policies and guidelines The role involves ensuring quality underwriting risk assessment and maintaining portfolio health while supporting business growth Key Responsibilities Assess and underwrite Home Loan and Loan Against Property LAP proposals as per credit policy Analyze applicant financial statements income documents bank statements and other supporting documents to evaluate creditworthiness Perform detailed risk assessment of borrower profiles property and market conditions Ensure credit decisions are made within defined turnaround time TAT and policy parameters Coordinate with sales and operations teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth loan processing Conduct personal discussions PDs with customers where required Ensure compliance with company credit policies audit and regulatory guidelines Monitor portfolio performance and take corrective actions to maintain portfolio quality Recommend policy changes or process improvements to strengthen credit underwriting Manage team members if applicable and guide them on credit evaluation and documentation standards Key Skills Required Strong understanding of mortgage underwriting risk analysis and financial statement analysis Sound knowledge of housing finance LAP products property valuation and legal documentation Good analytical and decision-making skills Proficiency in MS Office and loan management systems LMS Excellent communication and coordination skills Qualifications Experience Education Graduate Postgraduate preferably in Finance Commerce or Economics Experience Minimum 4-8 years of experience in Mortgage Home Loan LAP underwriting with an NBFC or Bank Salary As per industry standards Reporting To Regional Credit Manager Zonal Credit Manager
