Job Description

Job Title: Lead SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Experience: 69 years

Location: Chennai (Work from Office), Chennai based candidates preferred.

Salary: Up to 24 LPA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
- Lead testing efforts across UI, API, and Performance layers
- Implement automated test scripts using Java, Python, TypeScript, or C#
- Conduct and own API testing using Postman, SOAPUI, or REST Assured
- Drive performance testing using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling
- Create comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases
- Setup and maintain the test environment and troubleshoot network and deployment issues
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bamboo, or Buildkite
- Lead code versioning and collaboration using Bitbucket or GitHub
- Monitor and report test results using JIRA, Zephyr, or other test management tools
- Plan and execute test cycles following Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies

Required Skills & Experience:

- 69 years of professional experience in software testing and test automation
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, TypeScript, or C#
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web technologies
- Familiarity with web protocols and APIs: HTTP, HTTPS, REST, GraphQL
- Proficient in web element locators (CSS selectors, XPath, dynamic elements, iframes, etc.)
- Experience with Postman, SOAPUI, and REST Assured for API automation
- Solid understanding of performance testing and tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling
- Experience with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket) and test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr)
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Bamboo
- Good understanding of AWS or Azure cloud platforms
