Job Title: Setu - Controllership Manager

Role Purpose :

We are looking for a Manager – Controllership to join our Finance controllership team at Setu. This is an People Manager role.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading key controllership verticals such as financial reporting, audits, compliance, and AP/payroll accounting. You will be working closely with internal stakeholders such as Financial Projection, Procurement, HR and Internal Audit team to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial operations.

The responsibilities we entrust you with :

1. Managing financial records for the legal entities, responsible for end-to-end accounting and timely books closure, audits, tax compliances, and coordination with local & group auditors.
2. Managing day-to-day financial operation matters and coordination with India Shared Service Centre for accounting closures.
3. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate accounting principles and regulatory requirements and ensure underlying accounting records are accurate, complete and in accordance with GAAP. Maintain internal control safeguards.
4. Own monthly financial statements, financial packages, and other informational reports/analysis. Develop and monitor policies and procedures within generally accepted accounting principles and corporate guidelines to ensure sufficient cash flow, reduced operating costs, and increased revenues.
5. Drive operational efficiency by monitoring and improving costing activities and Identify saving initiatives and leverage economies of scale.
6. Manage cash flow and forecasting by developing a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
7. Oversee and approve financial transactions and reconciliations, ensuring that robust controls are in operation and workloads are managed effectively.
8. Lead financial compliance, ensuring that all procedures and policies are business-focused and communicated effectively to relevant stakeholders. Ensuring that finance activities are compliant with internal/external financial policies and regulations.

What matters in this role :

• Relevant skill and work experience:

1. 6+ years of experience in finance and controllership roles, preferably in fintech, tech, or fast-paced growth environments.
2. Should have good working knowledge in IndAS/IFRS accounting standards.
3. Experience of working on Oracle ERP is preferred
4. Good Communication and inter-personal skills
5. Strong Business and commercial acumen
6. Teamwork and collaboration, Cross functional and cross cultural appreciation
7. Analytical and problems Solving
8. Strong command over data integrity, reconciliations, and financial controls.

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
