About Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Back-end Engineer with experience of 1-2yrs to join our AI products team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python and FastAPI, with a strong understanding of RESTful and other API design approaches. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and robust back-end services.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and scalable back-end services using Python and FastAPI.
- Implement and enforce best practices for API design, including RESTful principles and other relevant approaches.
- Design, Build and maintain API gateways for services.
- Work with Docker for containerization and deployment of applications.
- Deploy and manage back-end services on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
- Debug and resolve technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of our systems.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.

Key Requirements

- Proficiency in Python: Strong command of Python programming language and its ecosystem.
- Expertise in FastAPI: Proven experience in building and deploying web APIs using FastAPI.
- API Design Knowledge: In-depth understanding of RESTful API principles and experience with other API design approaches,
- API Gateway Implementation: Experience in implementing and managing API Gateways.
- Docker: Hands-on experience with Docker for containerizing applications.
- AWS Experience: Practical experience with core AWS services relevant to back-end development (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway).
- Database Knowledge: Experience with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases
- Version Control: Proficient in using Git for version control.
- Testing: Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing frameworks.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Good to Have

- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming concepts.
- Experience with message queues (e.g., SQS, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
- Understanding of security best practices in web development.
