Job Description TGT (History & Civics) This role at JIVA AYURVEDA is for a TGT (History & Civics) teacher who will be responsible for developing engaging lesson plans, delivering compelling history lessons, and fostering a love for the subject in students. You will collaborate with colleagues, assess student progress, and ensure curriculum alignment while staying updated on current events to make historical content relevant. Key Responsibilities - Curriculum & Lesson Planning: Analyze prescribed texts and resources to develop high-quality lesson plans and curricula. - Instruction & Engagement: Deliver engaging History lessons covering various time periods, movements, historical events, and figures. - Assessment & Feedback: Grade exams, tests, quizzes, assignments, and presentations. Communicate with parents and faculty regarding student progress and interventions. - Enrichment Activities: Organize events and educational field trips to enhance learning. - Relevance & Current Events: Keep abreast of current events/movements and integrate these themes to maintain the relevance of historical content. - Compliance & Support: Ensure all curriculum, school, and state requirements are met. Provide extra support to struggling students and additional resources to those with exceptional interest. - Educational Technology: Utilize digital technology to improve learning experiences and maintain accurate student records. - Professional Development: Constantly expand educational networks and participate in workshops, lectures, and other learning opportunities. Qualifications - A Bachelor's degree in History or a similar discipline. - A Master's degree is preferable. - B.Ed is required. - A passion for History & Civics and the ability to inspire students. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Resilience and the ability to work with students from multiple backgrounds.
