At West we re a dedicated team that is connected by a purpose to improve patient lives that has been at the center of our Company for more than a century Our story began when Herman O West solved the problem of supplying penicillin in mass quantities to the US Government during World War 2 Through our work to deliver thousands of life-saving and life-enhancing injectable medicines to millions of patients daily West s indelible mark on the healthcare industry has just begun A name started our story How will yours help write our future There s no better place to join an inclusive community of professionals with opportunities for lifelong learning growth and development Supported by benefit programs we empower the physical mental emotional and financial health of our team members and their families We believe in giving back to help those in need in the communities where we live and work And are equally committed to creating a healthier environment and planet through our sustainability efforts Job Summary The Solution Architect SAP QM is accountable for collaborating with the Manager SAP QM D T in various locations to define deliver and support IT enabled business solutions for the Operations Supply Chain and Sourcing functions This role will also help determine business needs and design deliver technical solutions for these areas The Solution Architect SAP QM has primary accountability for the delivery of services including project delivery system configuration and enhancement and production support in alignment with West IT and company policies and procedures Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for assisting the design and implementation of an SAP QM solution-delivery of project deliverables including blueprints functional and technical specifications system configuration testing training and go-live support Support key Business and IT stakeholders to outlay the global design of Transportation Management and delivery of the design globally across multiple ERP systems With guidance Design and build of Interface in SAP QM areas Providing support and maintenance in relevant Interface Collaborating with other Logistics and Finance SAP Solution Architects to design and deliver the integrated solutions in SAP systems Utilize specialized expertise in the area to collaborate with Quality PM Operations Supply Chain and the Manufacturing Sites to define detailed User Stories for IT enablement of business needs This includes interpreting any issues and recommending solutions or best practices Essential core member of agile sprint team s to configure and develop optimal technical solutions features Provide technical delivery of functionality to meet defined business requirements as described in User Stories Provide system support and maintenance in alignment with standards and process set within the ERP Services Delivery model West policies and procedures as well as Regulatory requirements including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley and FDA GMP Create and maintain system lifecycle documents in accordance with West policies and procedures including creation and maintenance of SOPs SOIs and Job Aids Work within and participates in the Change Control process Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs Education Bachelor s Degree in Accounting Information Systems or related fields or equivalent experience required Work Experience Minimum 3 years required Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities Good SAP QM skills - SAP QM system functionality and technical understanding Must be up to date on latest ERP release SAP S4 HANA knowledge preferred Ability to work in a virtual environment in a global organization and to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced complex environment with a self-motivated work ethic utilize sound judgment with an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target Able to always comply with the company s safety policy Travel Requirements 10 Up to 26 business days per year West is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company We do not discriminate on the basis of race religion color national origin gender sex gender identity sexual orientation age marital status veteran status or disability status If you have a special need that requires accommodation in order to apply to West please send an email to Where permitted by law an offer of employment with West Pharmaceutical Services or any of its subsidiary or affiliate companies is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of background screening and or a pre-employment drug screening
