Job Description: Sr Manager, Corporate Direct & Indirect Taxation. Direct Tax - Evaluate changes in the Income Tax (IT) Laws that impact company’s business and tax compliance - Ensure timely Guidance regarding changes in laws/interpretations - Ensure IT compliances across the company including accurate and timely filing of tax returns and timely collection/payment of taxes - Evaluate proposals for the projects/other proposals from IT perspective - Ensure adequate and timely payment of advance tax for the company and subsidiaries - Coordinate Tax audit of the company including subsidiaries. - Management of the Physical and Digital Tax Records Indirect Tax - Evaluate changes in the GST Laws that impact company’s business and tax compliance - Ensure timely Guidance regarding changes in laws/interpretations - Ensure preparation and finalization of data required for the filling of GST returns including reconciliation with the financial statements - Ensure GST compliances all-India including accurate filing of GSTR1, GSTR3B, ITC04 and timely payment of taxes & annual GST audit. - Availment of Input tax credit basis GSTR 2B matching and no loss of credit to company on account of mismatch - Ensure proper and timely responses to queries/notices from department - Coordinate with consultants for assessments/appeals and ensure submission of all required information and documents - Management of the Physical and Digital Tax Records Key Deliverables: - Correct and Timely Direct Tax and Indirect tax Compliances - Successful execution of Tax policies in business operations - Timely Response to Internal and External Stakeholders - Timely completion of assessments/appeals Key Competencies: - Good working knowledge in Direct tax areas including handling of assessments & appeals - Sound knowledge in Direct Tax areas - Knowledge of GST law, Rules, VAT laws - Good knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office - Efficient Tax documentation Management skills - Effective communication, co-ordination, and collaboration skills - Team player Work Experience: - Around 7 – 9 years’ experience in tax function of a medium/large manufacturing company Qualification: - Chartered Accountant
