As a Presales/Solutions Consultant/Technical Advisor for AppScan, you will serve as the pre-sales technical expert supporting HCLSoftware’s application security portfolio in India, with a primary base in Mumbai. You’ll work closely with the Sales team to design customer-centric solutions, deliver impactful demos and PoCs, and guide organizations on best practices in application security. This role is pivotal in driving customer success, enabling product adoption, and contributing to overall revenue growth through technical excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct technical discovery sessions, product demonstrations, PoCs, and workshops for AppScan and AppScan on Cloud. - Prepare responses for technical sections of RFIs/RFPs and address customer queries. - Guide customers in adopting AppScan within DevSecOps and secure SDLC practices. - Partner with Sales, Services, Product Management, and Support teams to deliver effective solutions. - Build reusable technical assets (presentations, demo scripts, FAQs). - Conduct partner enablement workshops and provide technical guidance for channel engagements. - Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, compliance requirements, and AppSec best practices. - Foster strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted technical advisor. Qualifications & Experience: - 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, or consulting in AppSec or enterprise software. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Knowledge of security testing tools and methodologies (DAST, SAST, SCA, etc.). - Working knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, .NET, Python, JavaScript, Bash). - Experience with AppScan or competitor tools like Fortify, Checkmarx, Snyk, Veracode, or Burp Suite. - Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tools, and secure coding practices. - Strong communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills. Additional Details: - Location: Mumbai, India (Hybrid role) - Primary Product Focus: AppScan (on-premises and cloud) - Travel Requirement: Up to 25–30% within India (primarily customer meetings and partner sessions) - Compensation: Competitive base salary + performance bonus
