Company Description Launched in 2007 by Aloke Bajpai Rajnish Kumar ixigo Le Travenues Technology Limited is a technology company focused on empowering Indian travellers to plan book and manage their trips across rail air buses and hotels ixigo assists travellers in making smarter travel decisions by leveraging artificial intelligence The ixigo ConfirmTkt and AbhiBus apps allow travellers to book train tickets flight tickets bus tickets hotels and cabs and provide travel utility tools and services developed using in-house proprietary algorithms and crowd-sourced information With over 54 crore Annual Active Users in Fiscal 2025 ixigo is the leading OTA for Next Billion Users in India For more information please visit http www ixigo com As a Principal Engineer - Android you will be involved in all aspects of development playing a critical role in the design planning development and deployment and helping develop best practices for future development You will be part of a young and multicultural team that builds a cutting-edge travel consumer-facing product We are looking for a self-driven individual to join us in an individual contributor role who embodies task ownership accountability and the ability to drive results independently Roles Responsibilities Developing releasing and maintaining native Android Applications and overseeing mobile application development efforts Deliver across the entire app life cycle design build deploy test release to app stores and support Working directly with developers and product managers to conceptualise build test and release products Work on bug fixing and improving application performance Continuously discover evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency Optimising performance for the apps and keeping up to date on the latest industry trends in mobile technologies Qualifications At least an undergraduate degree in Computer Science Engineering 5-7 years of experience at cutting-edge organizations or startups Extensive experience in developing mobile apps using Android SDK with proficiency in Core Java and design patterns Experience with e-business e-commerce applications and business environment is a must Any experience with internet companies or the travel industry will be a plus Must have Deep understanding of Android development SDK and strong problem-solving skills Deep understanding of Android SDK and Android architecture components Strong programming skills in Kotlin and Core Java Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for modern UI development Proficiency with Gradle build system and dependency management Experience in Dagger 2 Hilt for dependency injection Solid grasp of algorithms data structures and design patterns Strong knowledge of network interaction debugging concurrency and multi-threading in Android Experience in unit testing instrumentation testing and test-driven development TDD Understanding of complete app lifecycle development CI CD pipelines deployment and maintenance Familiarity with app security performance optimization tools and profilers Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins GitHub Actions or Bitrise Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a strong passion for programming Additional Information Responsible for safeguarding sensitive company data against unauthorized access use or disclosure and for reporting any suspected security incidents in line with the organization s ISMS Information Security Management System policies and procedures
